Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 60 calls from Nov. 21-27.

Nov. 21

Deputies responded to a call in Fort Kipp to assist the ambulance crew after an elderly female called and said she didn’t feel well. She was transported to the Culbertson hospital.

Deputies responded to Poplar regarding an adult male saying another male has been making threats for several weeks. Deputies are investigating.

Deputies performed a walk through at the Stateline Casino after receiving a request from staff.

Nov. 22

Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police at an address on Johnson Street in Wolf Point regarding a juvenile consuming alcohol. The juvenile tested positive when a breath test was conducted. The juvenile was cited to tribal court for disorderly conduct.

Deputies responded to Helena Street in Wolf Point after a homeowner found damage to a front door. Deputies assisted Wolf Point Police in arresting an adult male, who was taken to tribal court for burglary.

Deputies responded to the Black Gold Casino near Bainville after a door was found open. An alarm was activated. No damage was found.

Nov. 23

Deputies responded to a residence in Fort Kipp for a report of an intoxicated individual. The female was arrested on authority of a tribal warrant.

The deputy/coroner filed a report at the Poplar hospital for an attended death.

Deputies patrolled the Black Gold Casino on the request of staff. Deputies responded to a Poplar address after a noise complaint.

Nov. 24

Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a welfare check. Deputies checked the occupants of the house and everybody appeared fine.

Nov. 25

Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice with an assault report at the airport addition in Poplar. Law enforcement couldn’t locate the reporting party.

Deputies assisted for a possible overdose near Brockton. The FPTDLJ and Brockton ambulance crew took the individual to the hospital.

Deputies assisted Wolf Point Police in the search of an adult male with a possible handgun around Granville Street in Wolf Point. The individual was seen throwing something between Granville and Helena streets. Located were a BB gun, baggies with a white substance and three marijuana pipes. The individual wasn’t located.

Deputies responded to Highway 2 near Poplar for a vehicle with hazard lights flashing and a person slumped inside. The individual said he stopped to rest. The vehicle was reported stolen by the Williston, N.D., police department. Francisco Gomez, 40, of Williston was charged with felony theft and failure to have a driver’s license.

Deputies responded to the Edgewater Apartments in Poplar for a report of two males fighting.

Nov. 26

Deputies responded to a report of a male sleeping in the restroom at the rest stop in Culbertson. He was taken to the Montana/North Dakota border.

Nov. 27

Deputies assisted Wolf Point Police with a disturbance on Idaho Street. Upon arrival, the reporting party wouldn’t answer the door.

In addition to the citations above, the RCSO had the following activity: Wolf Point city limits, two; Wolf Point rural, four; Wolf Point FPHA areas, two; Poplar city limits, six; Poplar FPHA all other, three; Culbertson town, 11; Culbertson rural, six; Bainville town, two; Bainville rural, seven; Froid town, two; Froid rural, one; Brockton town, three; Brockton rural, five; Fort Kipp, 13; total, 72.
