By Bill Vander Weele

Area residents can get into the holiday spirit with the Christmas Stroll and the Optimist Club’s bazaar on Saturday Dec. 2.

Plans for the Christmas Stroll, which starts about 4:30 p.m., will include pictures with Santa, chili by the Wolf Point Lions Club, s'mores from Opportunity Bank, naughty cocoa by the Sherman Inn and hot chocolate by the Junior Optimists. Build Pro Construction will provide hay rides starting from the Wolf Point Elks Event Center. Independence Bank will offer caramel apples, nachos and inflatables.

The Festival of Trees will be conducted that night from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wolf Point Elks Event Center. Tickets can be purchased to win.

The Optimist Club of Wolf Point will hold its annual Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wolf Point High School. A large number of vendors are anticipated to be selling holiday items at the bazaar.

A lunch will be available in the multi-purpose room. The cookie and candy table will have wrapped plates and containers for sale.

The annual Angel Tree Radiothon is Friday, Dec. 1, starting at 1 p.m. The Optimist Club partners with KVCK annually to take over the airwaves on 92.7 FM to raise money to help the club provide presents for Wolf Point children who might not receive gifts for Christmas.

Friesen’s Floral will also be hosting their annual Christmas Open House Saturday, Dec. 2.
