Holiday Events In Culbertson, Medicine Lake

Area events for December in the Culbertson area include a holiday market at the old Armory on Broadway Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. Lunch will be served by Culbertson’s Explore America group.

Breakfast with Santa is being hosted by the Culbertson Women’s Club on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. in the Culbertson School cafeteria. More information is available by visiting the group’s Facebook page.

The Medicine Lake Honker Foundation is hosting a winter ball and basket fundraiser Dec. 2 at the Medicine Lake Rural Fire Department hall beginning at 6 p.m.

There will be live music, full bar, raffles, prizes, games and snacks.

The Honker Foundation is also hosting a kids and parents dance “To The Moon and Back” from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the fire hall on Dec. 3. Visit the group’s Facebook page for more information.

The Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site is hosting “Engagés Christmas” from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 2.

According to a press release, “Visitors can warm up with a cup of coffee or cider in the Clerk’s Office. Here, visitors can listen to stories of life at the fort or join with the engagés as they show how to play common period games like cribbage and draughts, or checkers. Reenactors will demonstrate period cooking with a tin kitchen. Visitors are invited to explore the fur trade exhibits and browse the fort’s park store.”
