The Roosevelt County Commissioners rejected a lone bid for three lots during a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 12. The bid was $200 for three lots. The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board has set a curfew of 10 p.m. for juveniles. The resolution notes that the tribes find it necessary to declare a state of emergency due to recent juvenile violence “that is threatening the well-being and safety of the tribes’ members and communities.” The resolution said that parents and guardians will be accountable for the action of the juveniles

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 81 calls from Sept. 10 to Sept. 16. Anyone cited or arrested are presumed innocent. The calls included: Sept. 10 Deputy responded to a burglary alarm call to assist a tribal officer at Tribal Express in Poplar. All entry points were secured.
