Froid School Board To Keep Five-Day School Week
The Froid School board has decided to stay with a five-day school week at least for the next school year.
Superintendent Janessa Parenteau said the board unanimously voted to keep the five-day school week. Consideration of a four-day week was on the board’s agenda during its meeting on Tuesday, May 10. “Every year, we’ve talked about it,” Parenteau said.
Medicine Lake currently has a four-day school week. Plentywood is switching to a four-day school week in the 2023-2024 school year.
Next year’s school calendar for Froid will include a starting date of Aug. 17. Students will have six days off around the Easter holiday for a spring break.
