Lady Wolves Place Third At District Tournament


The Wolf Point Wolves put up a good fight before falling to Malta in four sets at the District 2B volleyball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 30. The Wolves placed third in the tournament and will compete at the divisional tournament in Glasgow starting on Thursday, Nov. 4. Red Hawks Place Second At District Tournament


The Froid/Lake Red Hawks won three straight matches on Saturday, Oct. 30, to earn second place at the District 1C volleyball tournament held in Scobey. The Red Hawks downed North Country, 25-27, 25-13, 19-25, 25-16, 15-8, in the second- place match on Saturday afternoon. Down by two sets to one, the Red Hawks gained an 1811 lead in the fourth set on kills by Dasani Nesbit and Baylee Davidson.

The Lady Wolves edged Harlem in five sets during the District 2B volleyball tournament in Wolf Point on Friday, Oct. 29. Wolf Point scored a 14-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-22, 15-9, victory. The Wolf Point Wolves earned a divisional berth by knocking off Poplar in straight sets during the District 2B volleyball tournament in Wolf Point on Friday, Oct. 29. Cowgirls Open With Win Over Scobey


The Culbertson Cowgirls spent the night battling back before nipping Scobey in five sets during the opening round of the District 1C volleyball tournament in Scobey on Thursday, Oct. 28. Culbertson came away with an 18-25, 23-25, 25-20, 2521, 15-13, victory. Ahead by only an 18-17 margin in the fourth set, the Cowgirls used a block and a back-row kill by Makena Hauge to move ahead 22-17.
