Froid/Lake Girls Split Games

Froid/Lake’s girls’ basketball squad split its games during the final weekend of the season.

The Red Hawks downed Savage, 39-29, in their home finale on Friday, Feb. 13.

After leading by a 10-6 lead at the end of the first quarter, the Red Hawks increased the gap to 28-19 at the half.

Froid/Lake led 35-21 after three quarters of play.

The Red Hawks lost against MonDak by a 44-40 final on Saturday, Feb. 14.

Froid/Lake held a 22-17 lead at the half and by a 37-32 margin at the end of the third quarter.

The Thunder scored the first nine points of the fourth period to take a 41-37 lead.

Laytyn Davidson hit a three-pointer to cut the margin to 41-40 with 1:26 remaining. MonDak scored on a basket by Addie Lundby and a free throw by Molly Wright in the final minute.

Froid/Lake’s top scorers were L. Davidson with 17 and Atley Jensen with 14 points.

Avery Johnson and Isabelle Nordwick added four points each. Joelle Davidson had a point.

Leading MonDak were Abby Lowes with 16 and Addie Lundby with 10 points.
