Robert James “Bob” Neumiller, 82, of Wolf Point died Jan. 7, 2025, at his home. He was born Jan. 4, 1943, in Wolf Point to William and Nora Daly Neumiller. They lived south of the river and Richey until moving to Elliston, where Bill was foreman of the Golden Anchor gold mine until his death in June 1954. Nora moved back to Wolf Point with her children, Bob, Roy and Carol, to be with family. She married Donny Neumiller a few years later. Three children were born: Daniel, Raymond and Donna Rae. Bob was very close to his new father, who he called Pa. He graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1961 and, in December, joined the Army, serving in anchorage as military police on a missile base near Anchorage, Alaska, for three years. He married Rose Parent and they had Robert Jr. “B.J.” and Rayna, but later divorced. After his discharge, he served on the Wolf Point Police force, quickly rising to chief of police. He held that rank until 1982 when the police force was joined with the sheriff’s department where he was a detective lieutenant until 1990. He married Donna Kunish and they had daughters Loy and Darcy. The family moved to Cascade where he served as chief of police/marshal for four years before retiring from law enforcement after a total of 33 years. The family moved back home. Donna Jo died in 2010 and he didn’t stay retired for long as he had many more jobs that he loved: recycling, Hi Line Homes, Fish and Game at Fort Peck Lake and at the Dollar Store until he quit at age 81 due to his health. We remember Marie Antionette Cody Jansen, 67, of Billings, who was called home peacefully on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, by her Lord and Savior. She joins her daughters, Desiree and Miranda; granddaughter, Elora; her parents, Leo and Dorothy Cody; and her brother, Joseph Todd Cody. Many knew her as Mama T, but family and hometown friends knew her as Toni. She was born Sept. 9, 1957, in Wolf Point, Mont. She graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1976. Full of love, laughter and resilience, and through the many roles and ventures she had, she touched the lives of all who knew her. Arden LeRoy “Ardie” Unrau, 77, of Enumclaw, Wash., died Jan. 4, 2025. Born in Wolf Point on June 23, 1947, his life was a testament to the Christian faith he held dear. His witty humor, dedicated work ethic and generous heart touched the lives of all who knew him. His life was shaped by the soil and the Savior. He spent his career as a farmer and rancher, tilling the land with the same dedication and humility he brought to his spiritual life. In both arenas, he sowed seeds of faith and reaped a harvest of love. He was committed to seeing people find and follow Jesus Christ, and this commitment was reflected in his service as a Missions Treasurer & Trustee at the Lustre EMB Church and his involvement in the Gideon's organization.
