Lustre Defeats Brockton Squad
After an exciting and tight opening 11 minutes, Lustre’s boys’ basketball team pulled away for an 81-42 quarter- final round victory over Brockton at the Eastern C tournament on Thursday, March 5.
The Warriors gained a 10-9 lead late in the first quarter on a 15-footer by Tefton Bear and a drive by Josh Firemoon, but Lustre ended the period with a three-pointer by Joel Reddig and a pull-up
Poplar Drops Challenge Game To Glasgow
Poplar’s girls’ basketball team’s exciting run in the Northern B divisional tournament came to an end with a 43-26 loss against Glasgow in a challenge game held in Wolf Point on Monday night.
The Indians held a 16-14 half-time advantage and were able to increase the margin to 21-16 on a fast-break basket by Braelyn Nordwick and a three-point play by Frankie Gourneau early in the third quarter.
