These are available at no cost and must be obtained within 24 hours of the time a person takes an animal into their possession. The Poplar River Ice Fishing Tournament has been set for Feb. 4, according to organizer Doug Marottek. The event is held southwest of the city at Dego Bend beginning at 10 a.m. All holes will be pre-drilled and the event will last approximately five hours. Tribal fishing licenes will not be required and no vehicles will be allowed on the ice. Entry costs have yet to be determined but previous entry
