Mavis Loegering


Mavis Sharin Loegering, 76, of Poplar died March 9, 2023, at Northeast Montana Health Services in Poplar. She was born in Wolf Point on March 31, 1946, to Gordon and Margery (Hancock) Rodewald, the youngest of five children (Betty, Gordon Jr., Rhoda and Margery). She was raised and attended school through her junior year at Brockton, later obtaining her GED. She married Del Loegering on June 22, 1963, in Poplar. They remained together until his death in April 1996. Two children were born from this union, Dawn and Dewey. In her lifetime she worked numerous jobs, such as babysitting took in ironing, Gambles store, Northeast Montana Health Services in many capacities, Independence Bank, Murphy Oil Corporation, Tande’s Grocery and Buckhorn Café. But, her greatest and most fulfilling job was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved without limits, whether it be human or animal. Anyone who knew her
