Indian Days Set For Sept. 2-4 Indian Days Set For Sept. 2-4

The Poplar Indian Days Labor Day Weekend Celebration is set for Sept. 2-4 at American Legion Park in Poplar. Camping day is set for Thursday, Sept. 1.

Grand entries will be held Friday at 7 p.m. and twice daily Saturday and Sunday.

Dance categories will include mens and womens grass, fancy, traditional and golden age, as well as categories for teen and junior boys and girls. Drums will be paid daily.

Head man dancer will be Ole GreyBull. Head woman dancer will be Alyssa Youpee.

Officers include treasurers Greg and Mary Plante and secretaries Connie Thompson and Nancy Samuelson. Maureen Red Eagle Dionne is the celebration advisor.

A candlelight ceremony is set for Friday at dusk. Run/ walks are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday morning. Feeds, giveaways and other activities will announced daily.
