The Poplar Indians were outscored by Rocky Boy, 74-48, in the first round of the Northern B boys’ basketball divisional tournament in Glasgow on Thursday, Feb. 24. The Indians were able to keep up with Rocky Boy early in the contest. A basket by Dennis Red Eagle put Poplar up by a 5-2 margin. Plentywood’s boys defeated Dodson by a 62-43 final. Circle’s girls downed Dodson by a 49-31 margin. Plentywood held leads of only 14-10 at the end of the first quarter and 27-23 at the half.

The Malta Mustangs knocked off Harlem, 83-67, in the title game of the Northern B divisional boys’ basketball tournament on Saturday, Feb. 26.
