MDA Announces Growth Through Agriculture Grant Awardees To Advance Montana Agriculture

Director Jillien Streit and the Agriculture Development Council announced recipients of the state’s $806,596 investment in innovative, value-added agriculture projects through the Montana Department of Agriculture’s Growth Through Agriculture program. From Nashua to Noxon, a total of 17 agricultural businesses throughout the state were awarded funds to advance Montana’s agricultural economy.

Makai Chaskay FastHorse Howard was born May 3, 2026, at 7:35 a.m. in Wolf Point at Trinity Hospital. He died at 9:11 a.m. the same day. He is survived by his parents, SingingAbove Fast-Horse and Joeseph Howard; grandparents, Elaine Laverne FastHorse, Ida FastHorse, Eric Howard, Windy Clark and Lester Paul FastHorse Sr.; and great-grandparents, Lois Medicine Cloud and Millie RunsThrough. His funeral was held Friday, May 15, at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Burial was at Riverside Presbyterian Cemetery in Riverside.
