Museum To Open In May

Jill Loomer Herness with the Culbertson Museum told the Community News that recent fundraising efforts including the bake sale, raffle, membership and other donations have totaled approximately $1,900 as of the latest deposit. County Approves Sponsoring Housing Grant Request

The Roosevelt County commissioners approved the request to sponsor a housing grant for Great Northern Development Corp., through House Bill 819. Brianna Vine, housing specialist for GNDC, explained that because of HB 819, legislators invested a total of $1 million in communities to address the housing shortage throughout the state. The plan is for the state to award 30 $30,000 grants. If approved

Urdahl Retires From Army

Sgt. First Class Lewis Urdahl has recently retired from the U.S. Army, after serving 20 years. He is the son of Doug and Sandie Urdahl. Lewis, a native of Froid, served as a combat engineer and jumpmaster with a parachutist badge. He made 67 jumps. During that time, he was deployed to Iraq for one year and Afghanistan for three one-year tours. The last tour was on the Afghan/ Pakistan border.

The scam involved a possibly fake company sending malware alerts to her and seeking a sum of money. The business asked the woman to withdraw $25,000 from her bank account. She was told a courier would come to her house to collect

Strong Second Half Lifts Red Hawks Over Bainville, 57-42

Froid/Lake’s offensive attack started to roll early in the second half to post a 57-42 home victory over Bainville on Saturday, Feb. 3.
