Froid Volunteer Fire Department Chief and incident commander Cam Friede told the Community News that several fires combined to keep multiple departments busy over the weekend north of Culbertson. Approximately 2,000 acres burned near Sugar Top Hill before it was extinguished Sunday. Roosevelt County, like the rest of the state, continues to attempt to keep the number of COVID cases in check. As of late last week, the state reported that Roosevelt County had 26 cases. That figure is lower than some other Eastern Montana counties including Valley with 41, Richland with 71, Dawson with 33, Custer with 179 and Hill with 166. “I’m happy that once we reached the level
