Three powerful serves by Carolyne Christoffersen put the Red Hawks up 10-3 in the first set. The Bainville Bulldogs put up a good fight before dropping their match in Scobey on Tuesday, Sept. 13. Scobey came away with a 20-25, 25-11, 25-23, 25-20, victory over the Bulldogs. “It was a fun match,” Bainville Coach Kallie Clarke said. Hailey Berwick led the Bulldogs with nine kills and four aces. Bainville’s girls earned a three-set victory in Nashua on Thursday, Sept. 15. Culbertson’s defense turned in a dominating performance in stopping Ekalaka, 62-6, in home Class C football action on Saturday, Sept. 10. The Cowboys’ defense took charge from the start when solid plays by Colin Avance, Reese Moon and Kobe Nickoloff stopped the Bulldogs on their first possession. Taking over on the Ekalaka 33, Culbertson scored on its second play on a 26-yard run by Nickoloff.
