Bainville Girls Outscore Richey/Lambert


Big offensive nights from Elsie Wilson and Hailey Berwick led Bainville’s girls’ basketball squad over the Richey/Lambert Fusion, 64-57, on Friday, Feb. 4. Wilson scored 27 points and Berwick finished with 22 points in the league victory. Bainville took a 17-12 lead in the first quarter but trailed by a 33-23 half-time margin. The Bulldogs bounced back with 18 points in the third quarter

Culbertson Falls To Plentywood


By Bill Vander Weele Culbertson dropped both of its basketball contests at Plentywood on Friday, Jan. 28. In the girls’ game, Plentywood earned a 71-31 victory. After leading by only a 10-6 margin at the end of the first quarter, Plentywood increased the gap to 32-15 in the second period. The Wildcats outscored Culbertson 16-12 in the third quarter and 23-4 in the final period.

Red Hawks Sweep Non-Conference Contests Against Frazer Squads


Froid/Lake swept both home basketball contests against Frazer on Saturday, Jan. 22. In the boys’ game, the Red Hawks won by an 80-12 final. Froid/Lake gained a 32-4 lead in the first quarter. Mason Dethman and Javonne Nesbit each scored 11 points in the opening quarter. The Red Hawks increased the margin to 54-7 in the second period. Ashdyn Hobbs hit seven points in the quarter.
