School Adds Plaques To Salute Top Students


An important piece of Wolf Point High School’s history is now prominently on display at the school. During the last few weeks, plaques have been added at the school that lists the high school’s valedictorians and salutatorians all the way back to the late 1960s. Fine Arts Extravaganza Set For Weekend


Area residents will have the opportunity to enjoy the talents of Wolf Point High School students during the Fine Arts Extravaganza on Friday, Nov. 18, and Saturday, Nov. 19. Performances start at 7 p.m. each night at the First Lutheran Church. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Music director Russell Johnson said he felt that such a new type of night would be beneficial for both the students and community.

Medicine Lake Mechanic Roams From Wolf Point To Williston


Mechanic Stephen (pronounced “Steffen”) Roness relocated to the Medicine Lake area from Williston, N.D., a little over two decades ago seeking work as a farm hand. A growing family helped him set down roots, including an automotive shop on the south end of town. At the shop, Roness twists wrenches while raising sons Tucker (11), Dayvin (nine) and Everette (seven) and four-year-old daughter Locklyn.

Lustre enjoyed a good snowfall — maybe 5 inches — in the past week. Winter has come, and we are glad. Trisha Reddig is the art teacher at Lustre Christian High School. She has 24 students from sophomores to seniors taking this elective in the space of two class hours. They have begun painting with acrylics to show trees in light and dark settings.
