Area Native Celebration Dates Set

The calendar of powwow celebrations for 2023 on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation includes six weekends in area communities: Frazer, Brockton, Wolf Point, Poplar and Fort Kipp.

Poplar Indian Days Labor Day Powwow is set for Sept. 1-3 at American Legion Park on the north side of town.

The Fort Kipp Celebration will be held Friday, Aug. 25 to Sunday, Aug. 27, in Fort Kipp south of U.S. Highway 2 east of Brockton.

The Turns Around Powwow at Poplar’s American Legion Park is set for August 18-20. The Turns Around parade for points starts at 127 E Street W in Poplar Aug. 19.

Wolf Point’s Wadopana Celebration will be held at the pavilion east of the Sherman Inn on Wolf Point’s south side Friday, Aug. 4 to Sunday, Aug. 6.

The Badlands Celebration is set for June 23-25 in Brockton on the east side of town, north of U.S. Highway 2.

The Red Bottom Celebration in Frazer is set for June 15-18.
