Educator Mark Mindt taught several lessons to Southside Elementary School students including being cartoonists during a returned visit to Wolf Point on Wednesday, April 26. Mindt, known as Koda the Warrior, explains that he had his first book of cartoons published in 2003, but this marks his first year where he is committed to touring schools. “I’ve taken this year to follow this project,”

Speaker Stresses Importance Of Culture


Singer Talibah Begay presented an uplifting message to South Side Elementary School students during an assembly at the school on Wednesday, April 26. Begay, who is Navajo from Shiprock, N.M., released her first album when she was only 13 years old. She released another album at the age of 14 and her third album when she was 16. She notes that she was raised with the values of the Navajo culture.

A Creators Game youth training titled “Being a Good Relative” was hosted at Brockton School April 26-28.
