The Froid Friends of the Library has recently received two generous grants. The Friends of Library received a grant of $1,000 from the Nyquist Foundation. The funds which will be used over the next four years to add books to the Thomas and Corinne Nyquist Montana Collection. Multiple blocks of prescribed burns are planned at Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site. These burns will only occur when conditions such as humidity, wind and temperature are conducive to prescribed fire operations. If conditions are met, three units totaling 96 acres are planned for prescription. Units will run parallel to ND 1804 and along the park maintenance shop road. Prescribed

Klane William Atkinson was sentenced during a hearing in district court on Tuesday, April 25. Facing drug possession charges, Atkinson received a three-year deferred sentence for each of three counts. He was also fined $1,000 for each count. The sentences are to run concurrently.
