Simonsen Selected As New Superintendent In Culbertson
A familiar face has been selected as Culbertson’s new superintendent of schools.
Nicole Simonsen, who graduated from Culbertson High School in 2003, has accepted the position to replace long-time superintendent Larry Crowder.
“I’m so thrilled for the opportunity to go home and preserve my home school,” Simonsen said.

Students Win Honors At IGNITE Conference
Nine students represented Culbertson High School well during the IGNITE Jobs for Montana Graduates conference held in Helena last week.
Marissa Littlewhiteman earned first-place honors in public speaking for seniors. The senior was the only student selected to speak at the awards banquet on the keynote panel about her experiences and plans for the future.

Carolyne Christoffersen excels in a wide range of activities at Froid High School.
Her list of involvement includes FFA, Business Professionals of America, National Honor Society, speech and drama, music, volleyball, basketball and track.
When asked how she finds it in her schedule to attend classes, “I make time,” she laughed.
She serves as the president for the school’s student
American Legion Honor
Post 81 Commander Peggy Purvis presents Herman Jensen with a pin and certificate for 75 years of continuous membership in the American Legion Post. Jensen has held many positions in his time with the post including the position of state commander. He celebrated his 96th birthday in February.
