The Roosevelt County Fair Clean-Up Day will be Thursday, July 27, beginning at 6 p.m. Fair organizers encourage service organizations, 4-H clubs, FFA chapters, those who want to volunteer time, and more to participate. Valley County Sheriff Tom Boyer reported that, on Thursday July 6, at 8:40 a.m., the Valley County Sheriff’s Office responded to one of the cabin areas of Fort Peck Lake for an unresponsive 2-year-old boy found in the water. The child, who was from Billings, had been staying with relatives in the area. The sheriff’s statement did not identify which cabin area the child was found near.
