County Retires Ellerton’s Badge


The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office will always remember Sgt. Michael Ellerton who died on July 1, 2025, after a four-year battle with cancer. Last week, the county commissioners approved the sheriff’s office’s request to retire Ellerton’s badge, #13. Culbertson High School senior Catherine Donaldson’s involvement at the school includes volleyball, FFA and cheer. Her competitions in FFA include veterinary science and sales. She started participating in veterinary science as a junior. “It gives me an idea if I want to become a veterinarian,” Donaldson explained. She has played volleyball for the Cowgirls for four years of high school
