Red Hawks Sweep Games Against MonDak

Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball team earned a 47-33 league win over MonDak on Saturday, Jan. 17.

The Red Hawks took a 2420 lead in the first half and then outscored MonDak by a 12-6 margin in the third quarter. Eddie Orozco scored five points in the third period.

The Red Hawks added 11 points in the fourth period for the victory.

E. Orozco finished with 12 points to lead the Red Hawks. Rylan Young, Aaron Orozco and Carsen Kelm added seven points each.

Also scoring were Carson Aasheim with five, Easton Marottek with three and Jake Nordlund with two.

TC Swenson led the Thunder with 11 points.

Froid/Lake’s girls won by a 44-35 final.

Trailing by a 22-18 halftime margin, the Red Hawks scored 14 points in the third quarter for a 32-30 lead.

The Red Hawks struck for 12 more points in the fourth quarter.

Leading Froid/Lake were Joelle Davidson with 15 and Atley Jensen with 10 points.

Also scoring were Leah Murray with nine, Isabelle Nordwick with five, Keira Stentoft with two, Jordyn Breuer with two and Laytyn Davidson with one.
