Bulldogs Earn Victory Over Cowgirls

The Bainville Bulldogs posted a 62-35 home victory over Culbertson in girls’ basketball action on Friday, Jan. 16.

The Bulldogs enjoyed a good start by gaining a 15-5 lead in the first quarter. Hailey Berwick accounted for nine of Bainville’s points.

After holding a 27-16 halftime lead, Bainville struck for 18 points in the third quarter for a 45-26 advantage. Berwick scored 11 points in the period.

Berwick finished with 26 points to lead the Bulldogs. Jodi Albus also reached double figures with 11 points.

Others scoring were Lila Butikofer with six, Chandi Johnson with six, Jaylynn Bjorge with six, Addison Hansen with three, Tenley Berwick with two and Siena Martinez with two.

Top scorers for the Cowgirls were Anna Steppler with eight, Payton Labatte with eight and Aeryn Ator with seven.

Also scoring were Emma Berwick with six, Ivy Colvin with five and Leandra Perkins with one.
