The Wolf Point Elks Lodge is holding its annual Hoop Shoot at the Wolf Point High School gym on Sunday, Nov. 9, starting at 2 p.m. Registration for the boys’ and girls’ age groups will begin at 1:30 that day. Age divisions are 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. Age groups are based on the age that the student will be on April 1, 2026. Hoop Shoot is free to all participants and provides youth an opportunity

Good Time To Apply For Apprentice Program

HELENA – If your youth is planning to apply as an apprentice hunter, it’s a good idea to apply now. The apprentice hunter law allows people ages 10 and older to hunt as apprentices with an adult mentor for two seasons without completing a Hunter Education course. The program is also for adults wanting to learn to hunt. Hopeful hunters are encouraged to visit the website at fwp.mt.gov/hunt/education/

The Northern B divisional volleyball tournament is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 6, through Saturday, Nov. 8, at Wolf Point High School. First-round matches on Thursday feature Malta meeting Shelby at 10 a.m., Harlem playing Chinook at 11:45 a.m., Choteau fcing Glasgow at 1:30 p.m. and Fairview taking on Fairfield at 3:15 p.m. The top two teams advance to the state tournament.

The Wolf Point City Council held its regular monthly meeting Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.. Noreen Hohman spoke during the public comment period to compliment the Wolf Point Police Department for helping area residents.
