Lady Wolves Suffer Home Loss To Scotties
Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball game fell to Glasgow, 6422, at home on Saturday, Dec. 20.
A free throw by Ma’Kenzie Jackson gave the Wolves a quick 1-0 lead. A basket by Cadence Bouldin, after a steal, tied the game at 3-3.
Glasgow then struck for the next 12 points for a 15-3 advantage. The scoring of Ava Runner and Mayzie Yoakam highlighted the streak.
Two free throws by Wolf Point’s Mattie Azure ended Glasgow’s run. The Scotties led 18-5 at the end of the period.
The Wolves struggled against Glasgow’s full-court pressure in the second quarter and the Scotties gained a 33-7 advantage.
Glasgow scored the last six points of the half for a 41-13 margin.
The Scotties then struck for the first eight points of the third quarter for a 49-13 margin. The third quarter ended at 57-15.
Wolf Point’s top scorers were Amya Martinez with six and Bouldin with four.
Also scoring were Jackson with three, McKinlee Paulson with three, Azure with two, Marley Moran with two and Addy Smith with two.
Leading Glasgow were Emma Mandeville with 13, Runner with 12 and Joely Chappell with two.
