Lady Wolves Lose In Fairview
Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball squad lost its opening conference game of the season in Fairview, 50-30, on Friday, Dec. 19.
The Wolves trailed by only a 13-7 margin at the end of the first quarter and by a 22-13 half-time margin.
Fairview scored 14 points in the third quarter to increase its lead to 36-24.
Mattie Azure put together a nice game for the Wolves with 15 points including hitting four three-point shots.
Also scoring for Wolf Point were Amya Martinez with six, Sophie Ricker with six, McKinlee Paulson with two and Marley Moran with one point.
Macy Tjelde accounted for 21 of Fairview’s points. Addison Swaney added nine points and Gracelynn Free had eight points for the Warriors.
In the JV game, Wolf Point’s Maci Fourstar-Sibley scored 52 points.
