Wolf Point’s siblings Peyton Summers and Sierra Summers each earned honors at the half marathon and marathon held in Missoula on Sunday, June 29. Peyton ran the half marathon in 1:12.21 for seventh place out of 2,048 runners. Sierra finished 22nd in the women’s marathon with a time of 3:17.42. Sierra’s time qualified her for the Boston Marathon.

Bainville High School senior Addison Hansen has been announced as one of the four state winners in the Big Sky State Games Character Counts Scholarships. The scholarships recognizes the importance of sportsmanship and character in athletics. The winners serve as role models throughout their senior years. July 1 marked the beginning of the archery-only paddlefish season in the Fort Peck Dredge Cuts below Fort Peck Dam, and it runs until Aug. 31. Archery anglers need to purchase a 2025 blue paddlefish harvest tag to target paddlefish in the Dredge Cuts, and no snagging is allowed. Wolf Point is planning a pair of football camps on July 21-22. The Lil Wolves/junior high camp is from 9-10:30 a.m. each day at the junior high practice field. Register the day of the camp for grades 3-8. The high school football is from 6-7:30 p.m. each of the days.
