Three Candidates For Tribal Chair File

Currently there are three individuals who have filed for the position of chairman for the Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board.

Candidates for chairman are incumbent Justin Gray Hawk Sr., former tribal chair John Morales and current TEB member Bryce Kirk.

Charles “Charlie” Headdress is the lone candidate for vice chairman.

Individual who have filed for the council include Roxanne Gourneau, Jestin Dupree, Carolyn Brugh, Wayne Martell, Stacey Summers, Dana “Sam” Buckles, Benjamin “BJ” Johnson Jr., Elizabeth Melbourne, Adrian Spotted Bird Jr., Thomas “Big Boy” Bauer Jr., Kristian Youngman, Patt Iron Cloud, Darryl Ricker Sr., Vernice Chopper, Loren “Makaicu Hoksina” Bighorn, Misty Daniels, Keyvin Brock, Tatum Evenson, Charles “Chug” Knowlton and Michelle Charboneau Trottier.

Registration for candidacy for an office of the TEB will close on Sept. 10 at 4:30 p.m. Election day is Oct. 25.

Non-resident voters may register by signing the voter registration card before a notary public.
