Brockton Looks Forward To Improvements This Football Season

The Brockton Warriors are suiting up nine players for the start of their six-man football season this year.

Coach Toby Youpee said most of the team’s roster features returning players.

Brockton’s players include Josh Firemoon, Weston Lambert, Colter Nygard, Tefton Bear, Lahmi Youngman, Ronnie Blackdog, Bree Olney, Kokipasni “Sonny” Owns Pipe and Codean Youngman.

Youpee is optimistic about the upcoming season because the boys have been working hard in practice. A goal is earning a win this season.

“We’re just trying to get a win,” Youpee said. “One win at a time.”

The Warriors will place at Froid/Lake on Saturday, Aug. 30, and then travel to Plevna. Brockton will host Broadus for its first home game the following weekend.

“We have some pretty high hopes this year,” Youpee said.
