Gas Prices Increase Slightly
Average gasoline prices in Montana have risen 1.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.23/g on Monday, Aug. 18, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 1.1 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 25.6 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has decreased 1.9 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $3.671 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $2.86/g on Sunday, Aug. 17, while the most expensive was $4.19/g, a difference of $1.33/g. The lowest price in the state yesterday was $2.86/g while the highest was $4.19/g, a difference of $1.33/g.
The national average price of gasoline is unchanged in the last week, averaging $3.09/g today. The national average is down 4.6 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 27.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
