Schools Improve Scores In Latest Accreditation Report

Many area school districts recently received good news when the Montana Accreditation Report by the Office of Public Instruction was released.

Culbertson earned regular scores for elementary, junior high and high school levels.

Brockton had regular scores for its elementary, 7-8 grade and high school.

Bainville also earned regular scores for its elementary, 7-8 grade and high school.

Froid had regular assurance rating for all three grade levels, but minor deviation scores for each three levels in regards of student performance rating.

Medicine Lake had regular scores for elementary, grades 7-8 and high school.

Wolf Point Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Perkins said that every Wolf Point campus received a regular grade for 2024-2025. On last year’s report, only Southside had a regular score. Each of the other Wolf Point schools had some form of non-regular ranking last year.

Poplar received regular scores for each category except for a minor deviation in student performance rating at the elementary level.

Frontier Elementary had regular assurance ratings for elementary and 7-8 grade. As far as student performance ratings, Frontier had a regular score for elementary and a minor deviation for 7-8 grade.

Frazer High School had regular scores for overall rating and student performance rating, but a minor deviation for assurance rating. Frazer Elementary had minor deviations for overall rating, assurance rating and student performance. Frazer’s grades 7-8 had regular scores for overall rating and assurance rating, but a minor deviation for student performance.

Lustre Elementary enjoyed regular scores across the board. Lustre Christian had deficiencies for overall rating and student performance rating. The high school had an advice score for assurance rating.

The scoring system’s four ranks are regular, regular with minor deviation, advice and deficiency. Categories are overall score, assurance standards and student performance standards. The assurance standards plus the performance standards equals the overall category.
