Deadline For Paddlefish Tags Is March 22

Paddlefish anglers planning to harvest a fish in the Upper Missouri River (between Fort Peck Dam and Fort Benton) need to apply for an Upper Missouri River paddlefish tag by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 22. For 2024, a total of 1,000 tags are available for the drawing. A 2024 fishing license is necessary before applying, and applications can be submitted online at fwp.mt.gov or at an FWP office.

The Battle Under The Big Sky gymnastics meet was held in Bozeman March 9-10. EMG, in one of the toughest meets of the season, had five event championships in their age groups: In gold, Aubrey Ziegler won vault, while silver gymnasts Emma Hove (balance beam and floor), Gracelyn Berg (floor) and Ila Lehner (uneven bars) earned first-place awards. Bulldogs Enjoy Good Turnout For Golf

Bainville’s golf program has a good turnout of 10 students this season. “This is the most that I’ve ever had,” Coach Dan Lambert said. He estimates that he’s been coaching for eight years. The Wolf Point Wrestling Club had several wrestlers place during the Montana State AAU meet held in Billings. Earning second were Addison Matejovsky in the midget division, Sumyt Gonzales in the midget division and Anna Matejovsky in the schoolgirl division. Archer Higgins took fifth place in tots.
