Bulldogs Enjoy Good Turnout For Golf
Bainville’s golf program has a good turnout of 10 students this season.
“This is the most that I’ve ever had,” Coach Dan Lambert said. He estimates that he’s been coaching for eight years.
Returning golfers for the Bulldogs include Alex Strickland, Kailyn Romo and Chandi Johnston. Romo qualified for the state meet last year.
Lambert is pleased that the Bulldogs have enough golfers this season to be able to compete as a team at tournaments throughout the season.
He said a good amount of the golfers out are freshmen, “which is great.”
One difference this year is that the number of individual golfers who qualify from a division for the state tournament has decreased from 25 to 20. The top four teams advance to the state meet.
