50 Years

Mary Ellen (Ellerkamp) and Bob Fossum celebrated their 59th anniversary with family at a party hosted at Ron and Sharon Matney’s residence in Culbertson Sept. 7. The couple were married Sept. 6, 1974, at the same location back when the property belonged to Mary Ellen’s parents. “I thought it most appropriate that they return to the place where it all began,” Sharon told the Community News. Approximately 30 family members attended the gathering, including the Fossum’s three children, who made the trip from Glasgow, Opheim and Beaumont, Texas, respectively. (Photo by James Walling)
