Sharelene Elizabeth “Shari” Jackson Beston, “Yellow Hair Woman”, 80, died Nov. 21, 2023. She was born in Oswego to Wilson and Josephine Jackson on April 16, 1943. She attended Frazer School. She met Joseph “Joe” Beston Sr. in 1959, and they married in 1960. To this union, they had four children. They moved around in various places until 1978 when they made Frazer their home. She worked construction, having her own roofing crew of women. She worked for Fort Peck Head Start as a cook, as a teacher’s aid for Frazer School and as a certified nurse’s aid in Manhattan, Kansas. She is survived by her husband, Joe Beston Sr. of Frazer; sons, Yancey Beston and Darrell Beston Sr., both of Frazer; daughter, Shannon Beston of Williston, N.D.; grandson, Ryan Beston whom she raised as her own; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;
