Lizabeth Ann Boxer Graham, 61, died at her home in Fort Kipp on Friday, April 7, 2023. She was born Dec. 4, 1961, in Poplar to Lenny Boxer and Annette White Eagle Boxer. She graduated from Poplar High School in 1980. Two weeks after graduating, she started work in the oilfields. She held various positions on the rig, but the one she was very proud of was when she made history as the first Native American female driller. She worked in the oilfield for 20 years. Her passion was to work outside, but she also got her cosmetology license and used it every chance she got. She lived in Anchorage, Alaska, for a while and worked as a hairdresser. She moved back to Ronan and met Stanley Graham. They married in 1992 and, from this union, they had two sons Robert and Jacob. Her last job was with Fort Peck Tribes TERO department before she retired. She was a very friendly and loving person. She had a smile that lit a room up and her personality was very magnetic. She is survived by her son, Jacob Graham; friend, Kori Good Bird; siblings, Russell Boxer, Lisa Boxer, Yvette Young Bear-Chase; and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 18, at James Black Dog Center in Fort Kipp. Interment was in the Boxer Family Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements.
