Glory Mae Garfield, 62, died May 7, 2023. She was born in Denver, Colo., on Oct. 24, 1960 to Nancy ComesLast and Tex Garfield. She went to school and got her GED. She loved camping, fishing and loved animals. She enjoyed playing piano and performing for friends and family. She was with William Baker for 14 years and loved to travel with him in the semi. She is survived by four daughters, Sarah, Leanna, Donna and Gloria; brothers, Randy Lambert, Ernest ComesLast and Rocky Garfield; and sister, Winnifred Schafer. FWP To Fix Mistake In Moose, Sheep Draw


HELENA – A mistake in last week’s drawing for some moose and big horn sheep licenses will result in fewer licenses issued than were originally drawn. The mistake occurred when quotas were incorrectly entered into the drawing system by licensing staff and resulted in more licenses being drawn in some districts than what the quota dictated. Samantha Reed, a Wolf Point High School senior who is usually full of energy, wasn’t feeling like herself. It was a mid-January Monday morning, and she just struggled walking from the school’s parking lot to her locker. “It was just hard to breathe,” Reed remembers. “I felt like I just ran three miles, so I knew something was wrong.” She rested at home for the rest of the day.

Clean Sweep Days Continue


The annual Wolf Point Clean Sweep Days continue in the community this week. The Wolf Point landfill will accept clean-sweep trash at no charge this week. The landfill will also be open on Sunday, May 21, from noon to 5 p.m. Bring your landfill card if you have one. Appliances requiring Freon removal will be charged a removal fee. Contractor/construction waste will be charged regular rates.
