Elks Donates To Pound Puppies


Wolf Point Elks Lodge members Penny and Jeff Presser present a $2,000 donation to Tina BetsHerMedicine of Wolf Point Pound Puppies. The Elks received the funds through a Beacon Grant to assist non-profit organizations. Pound Puppies currently has 32 puppies and nine adult dogs available for adoption. Because of the flood in the Livingston area, there is a lack of shelter space available in the state.

With the departure of Mary Machart from Culbertson Schools, Shelby Manning has stepped in to fill some very important shoes, both in the classroom and around the state. Area Golfers Fare Well At Big Cup Classic


The Big Cup Classic attracted 15 four-player teams to the Wolf Point Airport Golf Course on Saturday, Aug. 6. Sponsors of the tournament were Independence Bank, The Tavern and Northern Prairie Auto Sales. The team featuring Taylor Hanks, Jeremiah Whitright, Cody Sietsema and Nick Bighorn earned first place in the tourney. Taking second was the team of Kenny Whitehead, Lucas Young, Lyndsey
