Elks Donates To Pound Puppies

Wolf Point Elks Lodge members Penny and Jeff Presser present a $2,000 donation to Tina BetsHerMedicine of Wolf Point Pound Puppies. The Elks received the funds through a Beacon Grant to assist non-profit organizations. Pound Puppies currently has 32 puppies and nine adult dogs available for adoption. Because of the flood in the Livingston area, there is a lack of shelter space available in the state.

COVID Cases Increasing In Roosevelt County

Roosevelt County has 63 active COVID cases as of Friday, Aug. 5. There have been 3,458 total cases in the county. There have been 75 confirmed COVID-19 related deaths. Adult (12 years and up) COVID vaccination clinics are scheduled for Aug. 18 from 3-5 p.m. in Wolf Point and Aug. 25 from 3-5 p.m. in Culbertson. Gas Prices Drop During Week

Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 12.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.29/g on Monday, Aug. 8, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 59.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand $1.02/g higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has declined 13.1 cents in the last week and stands at $5.14 per gallon.

The Big Cup Classic attracted 15 four-player teams to the Wolf Point Airport Golf Course on Saturday, Aug. 6.
