Culbertson Airport To Receive Improvement Grant
The Culbertson airport, Big Sky Field, will receive $396,900 through Airport Improvement Program funding in the government funding and COVID-19 relief package.
U.S. Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., announced the grants last week. He secured the funding for the relief package during December.
“As air travel begins to pick up and Montana prepares for a busy summer season, I’m glad to see local airports receive this support,” Daines said. “These grants will help Montana airports with important infrastructure upgrades and expansions necessary for the rapidly growing demand.”
The funds for the Culbertson airport will go toward acquiring snow removal equipment, sealing apron pavement surface/pavement joints, sealing runway pavement surface/ pavement joints and sealing taxiway pavement surface/pavement joints.
