Delilah Johnson

Delilah May Old Rock-Martin Johnson, 70, of Fort Kipp died Dec. 21, 2020, in Amarillo, Texas.

She was born Sept. 15, 1950, to Robert Ch. Old Rock-Martin and Margaret M. Bear in Poplar. She attended various schools in Brockton, Ogden, Utah, and Chilloco, Okla. She graduated from United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, N.D., in 1994.

She was a homemaker and was the rock of her eight children. When any of her children or grandchildren needed her, she was always there.

She loved listening to music (country, oldies, classic ‘80s). She smoked Marlboro Reds and loved to drink coffee and her tea. Her favorite color was purple and she loved lilacs. Kung Fu movies and Longmire on Netflix were some of her favorites. Talking to her sister, Germaine, was a favorite pastime of hers also. She loved to travel and drive around town listening to music.

She prayed in the mornings and before she went to sleep.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Roberta Martin and Lottie Brown; and brothers, Aaron Martin, Ronald Martin and Leonard Martin.

She is survived by eight children, Robert P. SwiftEagle, Reuben J. SwiftEagle III, Gregory T. SwiftEagle, Genevieve L. SwiftEagle, Deneen J. SwiftEagle, Joni D. SwiftEagle- Sevenstar, Roberta C. Johnson and Deena J. Davison; many grandchildren; and sister, Germaine Brady of New Town, N.D.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 4, at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment was at Fort Kipp Cemetery under the direction of Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel.
