Bainville Senior Profile
Bainville High School senior Isabelle Anderson has excelled in Business Professionals of America during her time at school.
Her accomplishments have included being Bainville chapter’s president and qualifying for the national conference three times.
“I’ve put a lot of my focus into BPA,” Anderson explained.
As chapter president, she oversaw the chapter and led in fundraising ideas. She helped planned the recently popular “Night To Shine” showcase.
Anderson’s best events have included administrative support systems, advanced desktop publishing and integrated office applications. She earned the statesman torch award as a senior.
After being part of the 12th-place administrative support team at nationals last year, she is hoping for additional success at this year’s national meet. “I want to be in the top 10 this year,” she said.
Anderson said BPA has improved her leadership skills and public speaking ability.
The National Honor Society member has been a part of the cheer team and pep club since the eighth grade.
She explained that the pep club plans pep rallies, dress up days and other activities to promote school spirit.
Anderson joined cheer to spend more quality time with friends. She also enjoyed creating memories with friends along with others from different schools.
She joined the track team as a senior. She competes in the javelin and shot put.
“I wanted to make more memories and spend more time with my friends,” she explained of joining the track program.
Her favorite class is historical literature. “I love history. It’s my favorite subject,” Anderson said.
Favorite teachers include Lance Berndt and Calie Wineinger. Berndt has supported her in cheer while Wineinger helped developed Anderson’s leadership skills in BPA.
Anderson has attended school in Bainville since the fifth grade. She loves the closeness of the community.
“So many people care about you,” she said. “I love having a small class and growing up with them.”
After high school, she will attend Northern Arizona University where she will study business administration and HR management.
“BPA was a big influence for going into business,” Anderson said. “I think it will be a great career path for me.”
