Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

 

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 111 cases during Nov. 10-17.

The calls included the following: Nov. 10

Deputies responded to the Bainville area where a man rolled his four-wheeler and injured his leg. Deputies and the Bainville ambulance responded and took the man to the Culbertson hospital.

Deputies responded to the senior living apartments in Poplar where an adult male came to the apartments and was yelling at his mother. He left the scene on a bicycle. Law enforcement couldn’t locate him.

Nov. 11

A reporting party in Poplar’s city limits requested that someone be removed from a residence.

Nov. 12

Deputies received a complaint that an adult male needed to be removed from a house. The complaint said he was intoxicated and making threats to a female at the house. Simple assault charges are pending in tribal court.

Deputy/coroner was called to the Wolf Point hospital for a report of an attended death. A deceased female was terminally ill.

Nov. 14

Deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle at Poplar High School. The complaint was that the vehicle was taken from the parking lot. The call was canceled when it was discovered that a relative had taken the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a domestic situation at tribal housing in Poplar. A female was referred to the Red Bird Woman Center.

Nov. 16

Deputies and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice conducted a traffic stop in Wolf Point’s city limits. FPTDLJ arrested a female. Deputies issued three citations to a male.

Nov. 17

A citizen called with a concern that a company was pouring chemicals on Montana Highway 25. After talking with the state inspector, it was found that the company was contracted to paint lines on the road.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s report activity statistics for the past week were: Wolf Point city limits, 20; Wolf Point, rural, five; Poplar city limits, 14; Poplar FPHA all other, 10; Poplar, rural, four; Poplar FPHA airport addition, two; Culbertson town, 27; Culbertson rural, seven; Bainville town, one; Bainville rural, seven; Froid rural, four; Brockton town, two; Brockton rural, four; Fort Kipp, one; total, 111.
