RMHF Plans Alien Invasion On Sept. 19-25
You might be invaded! But don’t worry, they will come in peace. An alien invasion is set to take place from Sept. 1925 to promote the Roosevelt Memorial Healthcare Foundation’s upcoming “Over The Moon” Gala taking place on Oct. 9, at the Dry Prairie Rural Water Authority.
“Members of the foundation board thought this would be a great way to get the community excited about the upcoming fundraiser. Every invasion will be done in good spirits and is meant to be fun and enjoyable,” said Jaimee Green, marketing and foundation director.
Traditionally, this type of event is done with flamingos and is referred to as a flamingo flocking. Keeping with the fundraiser’s lunar theme, participants can choose from a small invasion with 10 aliens “invading” a lawn for $10 or a super invasion with 20 aliens and a UFO for $20.
Aliens will gather for about 48 hours and will only be available to in-town addresses in Culbertson, Froid and Bainville.
Anyone who wishes to protect themselves from the invasion can purchase anti- invasion insurance for $20. Those who have been invaded can pay $5 to find out who coaxed the galactic friends onto their lawn.
Both events are sponsored by the Roosevelt Memorial Healthcare Foundation.
All proceeds directly benefit the patients at Roosevelt Medical Center.
More specifically, they will be used to purchase updated commercial kitchen equipment such as a steamer, warmer and convection oven as well as cabinetry and counter tops.
