Area wrestlers came away with top honors from the tournament in Malta on Saturday, Jan. 31. Wolf Point’s Jesse Reed earned first place at 150 pounds and was selected the outstanding wrestler in the boys’ division. Also placing for the Wolves in the boys’ division were Colton Weyrauch in third at 144 pounds, Jeremiah Healy in third at 190 pounds and Kayeiko Villaluz in fourth at 110 pounds.

Brockton’s boys’ basketball team knocked off Nashua, 8331, in non-conference play on Thursday, Jan. 29. The Warriors gained a 2910 lead during the first quarter of action. Miles Boxer Jr. hit two three-pointers and scored 12 points in the period. Brockton increased the gap to 54-19 in the second period. Tefton Bear scored six of the Warriors’ points. Brockton’s girls’ basketball squad defeated Frazer by a 74-63 final on Saturday, Jan. 31. Brockton held a 19-16 lead at the end of the first quarter and by a 36-29 half-time margin.
