Shooting Kills Man In Wolf Point Sunday
One man was killed and another injured in a shooting that occurred on Blaine Street in Wolf Point at the Albertsons store’s parking lot.
According to the Wolf Point Police Department, an officer responded to a reported shooting at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28.

Local Students Recognize Native American Week
Wolf Point students recognized Native American Week with an annual powwow at the Wadopana Arbor on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 25.
“It’s a pretty important part of our culture,” Lance FourStar, who served as the emcee at the event, said.
He described the activity which included dancing and praying as a celebration of life. “It’s a celebration of the school spirit,” FourStar explained.
Fort Peck Tribal School Aims To Open In 2027
Discussion of a future Fort Peck Tribal School included plans and goals during a meeting in Wolf Point on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
The group received a three-year fellowship to design a tribal school and this fall is the start of the second year of the fellowship.
Rain Escarcega-Turcotte is the leader of the project. She previously was a dean of students at an elementary school in Wolf Point.
