Lustre Falls Against Circle

Lustre Christian’s boys’ basketball team fell to Circle, 67-55, in the semi-final round of the District 3C tournament held in Glasgow on Thursday, Feb. 19.

The Lions trailed by only a 24-20 margin after a high-scoring first quarter. Cam Reddig hit two three-pointers and had eight points in the period. Prestyn Klatt and Joel Reddig added three-pointers for the Lions.

Circle increased its lead to 38-30 in the second quarter. Owen Beery scored six of Circle’s points in the period.

Circle held a 53-42 advantage after three quarters of play.

C. Reddig hit two three-pointers in the fourth quarter, but the Lions lost by the 67-55 final.

Lustre’s top scorers were C. Reddig with 23, Johnslee Pierre with 12 and J. Reddig with 10. Also scoring were Klatt with seven and Diek Olfert with three.

Leading Circle were Duke Williamson with 22, Beery with 20 and Xavier Nasner with 15 points.

Scobey defeated Circle in the district championship game.
